McCain/Cheney 08'?

This is just so scary that the thought sends chills down my spine.

Going further, McCain even told Hayes in comments heretofore unpublished that he'd consider Cheney for an administration post.

Asked whether he'd be interested in Cheney had the vice president not already have served under Bush for two terms, McCain said: "I don't know if I would want him as vice president. He and I have the same strengths. But to serve in other capacities? Hell, yeah."

Hell, yeah?

Would McCain give Cheney his old job as Secretary of Defense back? The possibility just boggles my mind.

They have the same strengths? Well I guess they both share the paranoia common to NeoCons, and then there is their explosive tempers.

What does Cheney say about McCain?

After McCain said last year that Rumsfeld, Cheney's friend and mentor in the Ford administration, would "go down in history as one of the worst secretaries of defense in history," the vice president made plain his displeasure.

"I just fundamentally disagree with John," Cheney told ABC News in an interview. "John said some nasty things about me the other day and then, next time he saw me, ran over to me and apologized. Maybe he'll apologize to Rumsfeld."

It's nice to know the Republican Nominee is back on good terms with the Vice President.

Cheney is just an arrogant jerk .

He said Mccain ran over to him  like a little boy to apologize , thats just funny.

McCain groveling to Cheney for telling the truth about Rumsfeld.

What a disgusting episode.

yeah the man has compromised himself like every other politician in ways dems can exploit to puncture his cultivated image as a principled guy.

there are clearly several issues he has been less than principled.

He is still coasting on his 2000 campaign. He lost the nomination, but he established such a positive image of himself that the press lets him get away with walking back his views on half the issues.

Re: McCain/Cheney 08'? (none / 0)

yeah , I am not impressed with what I have seen of him lately.

However I believe he would not be able to overcome the mood in the country , the overwhelming advantage dems have right now , and the inevitable media advantage Obama would hold.

The press would end up on Obama's side.

I'm sure you'd see a lot of continuity in a McCain administration. Especially with the ongoing occupation, and Cheney playing a key role in that.

I see a great commercial (none / 0)

where McCain's face is morphed into Cheney. They both have little hair and look old with fat heads. It can easily be done in commercials, and would work to great effect

Come on folks.  This is gold for us.  It both highlights the link between McCain and the Bush regime and undercuts the hypocritical courageous maverick pose.

McCain/Cheney '08 does almost all our work for us.  It won't happen of course.  They're not THAT dumb, are they?

Re: McCain/Cheney 08'? (2.00 / 1)

It could happen, if McCain appoints Cheney to lead his search team...
